Months 3-8

Time flies when you’re like, actually flying

Fa La La La La

Merry Christmas everyone! I’m an Angeleno now. I even have a library card to prove it! I’m crawling now, but I still love to be carried around so that I can get a better vantage point and see everything happening. I’ve been practicing walking and waving. I’ve gotten really good at crawling and doing raspberries. Other than taking a bath, my favorite things to do are to figure out how things work, play music, or hang with friends.

Make sure to RSVP for my 1st birthday (virtual or in person cool) on March 30. And if you’re a Gen Alpha like me, you should sign up to join my band The Alphas. If you’re not, you might have fun hanging out with my parents making the short film for my dol… they’re using AI (woooo). The sign up forms to join the band and the short film crew are also on the RSVP page.

Oh, and if you’re looking for a way to start the new year - start it with meeeee and come over to my house! It’s a leap year!

Month 2

It takes two to make a thing go right

I’m bulking up and now at 5.5 kg and 55 cm long! I planned that. My new rhythm at home is to eat, play, eat, walk, bath, play, eat, sleep, repeat. Ah, the life! I have very little complaints and I’m actually really interested in talking with my parents. They taught me how to say “AH” and “O” - my letter. And my nai nai came and she taught me how to roll! Apparently, I’m making great progress for a child but, to me, I am still wishing I can do so much more.

Mother’s Day

I spent the ENTIRE day with my mom today, I hope she’s happy about that. I also spent the entire day with my nai-nai visiting from Arizona and of course she was thrilled. We went and had tea at the famous Wistaria Tea House - where I’ll also be celebrating my Baek-il 100 days of life (RSVP here, kiddos!).

Baby Meetup & Checkup

I met up with Alec, Coco and Killian — Taiwan Rabbit Babies like me that I met while in my mummy’s tummy. Alec is from Australia, Coco (she/her) from America, and Killian from the UK. We all have the same Taiwanese accent though. Not shown here is Ryan, a half-Korean / half-Taiwanese bb who was born exactly the same day as me! Yep. Ryan and Orion.

Alec was born just a week before I was — AND in the same hospital AND with the same doctor! Isn’t Dr. Pei cute? She says that mommy and me are in perfect condition. We’re so thankful!

Month 1

A Month of Firsts!

My first activities

I experienced a lot during this first month on Planet Earth! From a battery of health tests to extensive self-quantified data around my every bodily function, to teleportation via livestream to TED, Coachella, and the Starship launch, I’m coming to learn how much further humanity can advance. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far though! I think I’ll stay a while.

My first hello…
and goodbye

A few hours after I was born, my parents introduced me via FaceTime to my Ye-ye and Nai-Nai (Grandpa and Grandma in Chinese). They gave me my Chinese name, He Xian Han, which means Expansiveness - like the Ocean!

I love my name and my grandparents!

Sadly, the next day after meeting my Ye-Ye, he suddenly left Planet Earth from a heart attack. But… but… I just got here! Still, I feel my Ye-ye watching over me always and it’s a really nice and warm feeling. I’ll be sure to make him proud!

My first visitors

I love meeting new people and especially our family and friends! We live far away from many of them, so my first visitors feel extra special. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!
